About the speaker:
Cao Feng, Professor, Ph.D director, Renmin University of China. His research areas include the philosophy from Pre-Qin to Han dynasty, Daoism, and studies on the various schools.
Abstract:
What would China become if there was only Laozi without Kongzi, or vice versa? Why is the development of Chinese culture not easily to be interrupted? What kind of wisdom will China contribute to the world? In discussing those questions, this lecture tries to present the necessity and importance of the complementary of Confucianism and Daoism.
